Meet the experienced and friendly doctors and staff who make Watters Vision Care, Inc. the leading provider of vision care products and services in Battle Ground.

Dr. Kevin Watters

Dr. Watters graduated from Pacific University in 1994 with a Doctorate of Optometry.  Fulfilling his dream, he opened Watters Vision Care in the fall of that year.  Dr. Watters has a special interest in treating diseases of the eye. He completed a preceptorship at the Veterans Association clinic in Portland Oregon.  He also loves kids and welcomes the opportunity to help them with their vision issues.  Dr. Watters strives to provide every patient with personal care.

Dr. Watters’ interests include traveling, hiking, dirt biking, off-roading, or just being outdoors.  He also enjoys both performing and listening to music and  likes classic cars.

Dr. John Thompson

Dr. Thompson has practiced at Watters Vision Care since 2008.  He earned a bachelor’s degrees in biology and Physical Therapy before graduating from
Pacific University in Forest Grove, Oregon with a Doctor of Optometry degree.  Dr. Thompson’s background in Physical Therapy influences his functional approach to vision care and takes into consideration the whole person.

Dr. Thompson enjoys spending time with his family and participating in outdoor activities including hiking, camping, cycling and winter sports.

Dr. Cameron Horch

Dr. Horch joined Watters Vision Care in 2014 after graduating from Pacific University as a Doctor of Optometry.  He’s excited to be working in a family practice and enjoys seeing patients of all ages.  He also brings his experience as a pediatric specialist to our practice and loves caring for children and all the conditions that affect their eyes.  So whether young, or not so young, you will find that Dr. Horch delivers exceptional care, personalized to each patient.  As a naturally kind and patient individual he takes the time to listen to your concerns and works to find a solution that will work for you.

When he’s not caring for patients, you will find Dr. Horch spending time with his wife and two children.  He also enjoys backpacking, mountain climbing and water sports.

Andrew Bruce, LDO, ABOM

Andrew brings a wealth of knowledge to the practice having been in the optical profession for many years. He originally began his optical career in his home country, England, before immigrating to the United States in 1987. Holding a Master’s in Ophthalmic Optics, Andrew is a member of an elite group of fewer than 400 in The United States who have achieved this level of education within the field of Opticianry. His educational papers on his field of expertise have been published worldwide, and he serves on the faculty of a leading optical journal. Andrew will make sure that either he, or his associate, make your glasses look and feel great.

Mikhail Kozub

In addition to his optical experience, Mikhail brings his unique language skills to our office.  He moved to the United States when he was six years old and quickly learned to speak English.  He now speaks English, Russian and Ukrainian.  Mikhail’s hard working attitude and ability to explain things clearly make him a great asset in our optical department.  Whether he’s helping you with your first pair of contacts or adjusting your glasses, his patient demeanor will ensure your success and satisfaction.  He is also working to become an ophthalmologist and enjoys learning all he can about eyes in the process.  On his days off he loves staying up to date on the latest sports cars and sometimes even gets to drive them.
